TESTING PROCEDURE:

Estrous Detection (as shown in the diagram) depends on identifying the period when resistance is at a minimum followed by a sharp rise.

Readings are taken by simply inserting the probe into the vagina to the depth of the cervix and measuring the readings directly from the LCD.

Measurements are taken regularly once or twice a day with the readings falling steadily until a low base figure is achieved. The luteinising hormone is then released naturally by the body, after which time the readings begin to rise sharply.

The rise in the readings indicates ovulation within a few hours and is therefore the best period for insemination.

The easy-to-grip handle ensures that the instrument is not easily kicked out of the user's hand and the easy-to-read display makes reading the results simple.
